JLT is an industry-leading surety broker in Surety business. Our predecessor company placed the first surety bond in British Columbia in the late 1800s. Since then, JLT surety professionals have been involved in all aspects of the surety marketplace. Our current team has direct experience in the placement of surety programs for Canada's largest infrastructure projects such as the Confederation Bridge and the construction of the Cobiqued Pass (highway 104).

In addition to conventional surety JLT has direct experience in innovative surety solutions. The placement of the first North American surety bond for a major Canadian contractor in Israel allowed the financial closing of the Cross Israeli Highway to take place. We are also responsible for the use of North American style bonds to guarantee the export of Canadian products and the placement of large North American style performance bonds in Mexico and South America.
