As a client of JLT Canada, you will always have a primary point of contact at our firm who will make every effort to be available to respond to your needs, day and night. In addition to that individual, there will be several others in supporting roles to answer basic insurance questions and to issue documentation. We take great care to ensure effective communication within our service teams. Everyone involved in risk servicing on your behalf will be kept fully aware of developments in your business, such as new projects, acquisitions, relocations or claims. The insurance policies we arrange are placed in consultation with you. We confirm and act on your instructions in a timely manner and ensure you have the opportunity of fully informed decisions on the policies we procure on your behalf. The precautions we take provide certainty to our clients and to insurers. By its nature, insurance is paper-intensive. We aim to streamline this process for you. Your service team will provide accurate and timely documentation and review all documents received from insurers on your behalf to verify their contents and ensure they reflect the terms and conditions you instructed. You will have an emergency contact number to notify us of claims. We will take immediate steps to advise insurers and to appoint adjusters and/or surveyors to ensure losses are mitigated as much as possible. You may formalize your dealings with us by way of a service agreement if you so choose.
